My Story

I have really had any luck with relationships until May 26, 2017 when I meet my best friend Donovan. I went on a trip to Jamaica with my college roommate to celebrate her graduating and to just get away. One day we went down to the beach to try and find our friend who said she went to the gym so we asked the life guards where the gym was and they told us we already passed it. We were lazy and didn't feel like walking all the way back up the beach to try and find her so we just decided to hang with the life guards, that is where I met Donovan. We talked for a little bit getting to know each other and what we were looking for in a relationship. That night we went out to a club with our friends and the life guards but clubs aren't really my scene so me and Donovan sat in the parking lot talking some more about our past, goals, things we never told anyone and getting to know each other better. For that whole week we were in Jamaica I went down to the beach when I had time to hang out with him and just talk. When it was time for us to leave we talked one last time on the beach and promised to talk to each other every day.

Three months went by with us talking to each other every day and then in September I was able to see him again and able to also celebrate my birthday with him (July 27th). That trip was the best part of my birthday celebration because I got to know him better and talk about our future together. He makes me happy because he is everything I have always wanted in a boyfriend and more. I can't believe we had been together for 9 months tomorrow. I can't wait to see where our relationship takes us. I love him so much. I'm sad to say that after a year we broke up because the long distance was just too hard.
